Mr. J. Guy Steenrod - Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining IRIX Pharmaceuticals in 1996, J. Guy Steenrod had already had an extensive career in pharmaceuticals with Roche - headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. During his 23-year career with Hoffman La Roche, Guy was responsible for Research and Development through manufacturing of bulk active ingredients for the Roche US organization. In 1991, Guy was President of Roche Carolina in Florence, SC - a $500mm manufacturing "greenfield" facility.

Mr. Steenrod has been responsible for taking six new drugs from discovery to market.

Mr. Steenrod is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnical Institute with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He also holds an MS in Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Mr. Steenrod is one of the co-founders of IRIX along with Dr. Panos Kalaritis.
